Design intent
Robot upper-arm shells often combine a tubular body with a fork or clevis that must stay stiff while staying light.
- Call which fork faces and bores are primary datums
- Keep bolt-circle pads thick enough for taps or inserts
- Separate cosmetic outer skins from sealed or bearing interfaces
Manufacturing notes
Orient the build so fork inner faces stay inspectable after support removal. Mark any faces that must be milled flat before assembly.
What to put on the RFQ
- Preferred aluminum alloy family
- Which bores and pads are critical
- Any coating or anodize keep-out zones (state them; we do not invent certifications)
